I am not sure who really left the comment under the name Michelle Duggar, but he/she needs to edit/proofread his/her post before allowing the world to read it. I also assume that Tiara Solvery is the same person who wrote Michelle’s comment as the grammatical mistakes are almost identical. Even Kelly’s comment, despite the all-capitals and occasionally misspelled words, was at least, understandable - moreso than “Michelle’s” or “Tiara’s”. Does being ultra conservatively religious equate inability to spell or write a proper sentence? Average religious people write well, but as soon as they venture into the zealot definition… Yikes - all intelligent communication is ceased!
The whole Duggar situation smacks of ignorance (educationally, not personally). When I viewed the TV special, I felt embarrassed for the family because they appeared so ‘cult-like’- haircuts, identical clothing, repeated chants/phrases [shudder). How can a woman so obviously uneducated be homeschooling? I hope she is receiving assistance from more knowledgeable friends.
I can only assume the Duggars welcomed media interest because of the financial gain.
How are these children going to react to their parents inviting the world to view (and thus, judge) their lives? When the Duggar children review their televised lives through adult eyes, there’s going to be some needed therapy sought.
The image of the little boy thrilled with his ‘hiding spot’ so he could be alone and think was sad.
Here’s another view of multi-child families (and don’t even get me started on the therapy the Gosselin children are going to need. Heartbreaking especially when the mental damage is intentional.

I JUST STUMBLED UPON THIS AND DECIDED TO READ..IM NOT TOO SURE WHO YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, OBVIOUSLY A COUPLE WITH MANY MANY CHILDREN. MY QUESTION IS, WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF ANY OF YOURS, YOU ALL PROBABLY HAVE YOUR OWN “TRAIN WRECK” OF LIVES THAT YOU DONT WANT TO DEAL WITH…SO YOU CONSTANTLY PICK ON OTHERS…AND YOU DONT EVEN FRIGGEN KNOW THEM!!!! LOOSERS!!!

I really think that for the most part they seem ok on tv. So even though I think their lifestyle is weird and creepy it seems to work for them. But even if I am going to accept this whole thing and be way less judgemental than I actually am… I have one big question How do you actually manage to homeschool that many kids and get them ready for college since the jobs that only require a high school diploma are fast disappearing. Esp. since the bio says that the mom who does the schooling got married at 17 and probably only has a high school education. AT one point they were building the house and the mother said the beams were “perpendicular. Everybody repeat after me perpendicular” some of these kids need to be waaaay past stuff like that if they are going to continue. And just to add in I am actually very in favor of homeschooling in most cases because of the advantage individualized curriculum can have esp. for bright children.

Minnie here…And as promised I am back. I decided to bring out my notes from last nights showing on Discovery Health about The Duggars. So here it is…Some of you may have discussed or dropped comments about the items I am about to mention. If so, I apologize ahead of time. I hope to get some positive feedback. There is no apparent order of which I took these notes. First of all, I find it difficult to understand the entire situation. I will get that out there. Jurisdictions? WTF is that all about? Don’t get me wrong, my children (Son age 14 and Daughter age 11) have chores/responsibilities, which I think all children should have, and should be age appropriate. HOWEVER…these do NOT include raising each other! Next on my list is that I do not understand how these people feed into the noteriety (?Spelling…not my best subject) of how independent they and their family are when they had how many people doing their move? Ok, my little family of 4 just moved from the East coast back to the midwest and in our little Navy base housing apartment, it was the 4 of us, and one couple that helped us pack a 28 foot trailer. That’s it, and the Navy didn’t pay for any of it this time, nor will we be reimbursed this time. Long story for those who know anything about the military. Moving right along…So the children are now little laborers as well as cooks, maids, etc. And as I have seen, many of you too wonder how the hell they survive financially. I am here to tell you that I do not have any professional experience in realty in Arkansas, however, I do know that the real estate business in KS is booming in some areas, and in the medium size town I live in, and tried (Key word TRIED) to buy in, a 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch, modest yard, 2 car garage, not too old, but not too new, just wasn’t within a Navy mans pay reach. (Sorry if that didn’t make much sense) They mention when they vacationed that people actually recognized them? DUH dipshits! Hello, how friggin many people birth 2 basketball teams, trying to see just exactly how much wear and tear a uterus and vagina can actually take before it gives out and you think you won’t be recognized? Get a clue! Ok, being medically trained, I had a major problem with this one, and perhaps I missed something, or well, hell, I dunno. But how exactly do they figure that the pill “caused” them to miscarry? Hmm….Good Try Jim Bob, sounds like an excuse to me ya damned nympho without a clue. Are they NOT worried that at some point HER maternal age is going to factor in and perhaps create the chance at a high risk pregnancy? If he is so intelligent and educated, then he must know that there is a risk of all sorts of problems that can occur with advanced maternal age. Wait, maybe he isn’t worried about it, and here’s another question for him….what if it came down to her life? Ok, nevermind, moving right along. I have a real huge problem with the older kids getting a “buddy” IT IS THEIR SIBLING damnit. These older children are being robbed of their own childhood. They cook, they clean, they build, they are raising their own siblings. And I wonder what exactly is going to happen when one of the little Duggars comes home and decides “hey, mom and dad Duggar, I talked to Little Miss Jane so and so, and she knows a young lady and she doesn’t go to “our religious preference” anymore. I think I’d like to venture out and see what the world really is like.” What will they do then? Kind of like some other religions where the kids have a chance at a certain age to “sow their oats” and then decide if they want to come back to the church or go out on their own. As others have said I too think this is all cult like, I think that daddy Duggar is controlling, hyper-sexual, and just plain “out there.” This is just a sampling of where I am at with the entire Duggar situation. I look forward to any and all POSITIVE feedback. I know a family right here in the town I live in that started out like the Duggars, 10 kids right now, but not having more. They finally woke up and realized many things recently, and to talk to the mother, she some very interesting thoughts and conversation regarding the way they lived before as opposed to the way they live today. One more item I would like to see discussed here because I find this site immensely close to home is the Gosslins, Jon and Kate 8. Now I could really get going on that situation too. i think this is cool. i mean it’s there family. they can do what ever they want too. i mean it’s not like this baby or ay of their other children are going to starve. they are not in debt. so i think that people should be happy for them.
