Hey untitled!

I've been away from the blogosphere almost a month and just found out today that you already had your surgery. I'm glad everything went well and that the "drop" has begun!

My 2 cents: there will be several plateaus because our metabolism needs to be bitch slapped every time it gets accustomed to the same foods/amount/caloric intake/etc. Don't get discouraged.
You're doing great girl!

Good job, and I am very happy for you. I recently found out I have type two diabetes, and the next day I joined Weight Watchers, and then three weeks after that a gym. I find too that I am no longer craving the foods I once did, and that food has almost become a non issue as well (notice I said almost) Now when I do indulge in fast food it's not because I want it so bad, it's because, well I need something fast, and it usually doesn't taste nearly as good as I remember them. (except for Mcdonald Crack Fries)

A friend once told me about plateaus and how they are part of the process. Seems the skin needs to rewrap itself or something around the new body mass. Otherwise, you might get injured by the flaps waving wildly. Sometimes, the kinds of foods you re-introduce are crucial.
Carbs seem to set up a craving for more, and a lot of folk who gain weight without being nourished properly may discover that they are lactose intolerant. If your hair starts thinning, you might want to consider this.
Good work! I am with you all the way on your amazing journey.

Seems to me (a non-physician) that there is still probably more that we don't know about the human body than we do know. Or maybe I'm a defeatist. Either way, I'm glad you have the attitude that allows you to just not get the answers you're looking for.

Good luck with the calcium pills. Maybe switch to Rolaids?
